Erdmuth Dorothea by Erika Geiger

$12.00

Erika Geiger’s biography of Countess Erdmuth Dorothea Countess von Zinzendorf describes the countess’s life as wife and co-worker of Count Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf, one of the eighteenth-century leaders of what would become known to English speakers as the Moravian Church. With great energy, the countess applied her special gifts to the couple’s shared life’s work, the establishment of Herrnhut. She served as financial overseer, estate manager, and spiritual hymnist. At times she was the ruling village authority in Herrnhut as well as “housemother of the Pilgrim Congregation.”
